Dress-up!

One of a million things i love about having a girl is playing dress up! I love to put Ellie in skirts, dresses, and fun tutus. I can't wait to start her in ballet and gymnastic classes! Okay back to the topic.

I have seen so many cute tutus and wanted to try making one. This theme is a ladybug and thought she could use it for Halloween........but i have an awesome friend, Venessa,  that gave me a really cute ladybug costume and am going to use that since it has a limit on size, and its adorable. So i decided to still finish it........after i did i then decided i am going to make lots more in fun colors for her to play with. She loves this one already.......and so do I.

The tutu was super easy and fits her perfect!

The wand was fun and used left over tulle.

The wings i might only keep doing them for costumes instead of dress up. I am very happy how they turned out and i did it all just by looking at a picture! I was not sure how they would attach to Ellie from the picture. So what i did was used ribbon about 1.5 in. thick and took two long pieces the same size and tied it to the top of the wings in the center. The ribbon then ties around each little ones shoulder and the wings hang centred in the back, works perfect.

So there is my first attempt on a costume and fun dress up for Ellie! I have to say i am very excited to share this with all my friends :)
