They are both very simple and I was done with the apple sauce and the banana bread was in the oven in a half hour. The house was filled with the spices of Cinnamon and nutmeg. I could not wait for the timer to go off. But the real test was to see if my picky one in a half year old would like it, oh and she did! Mom did something right :)
I live in a new world full of fun and excitment! I have a wonderful life with the worlds best husband and a very active little girl. This Little girl (Ellie) has opened my creative side to life with kids, and I love it! Being a stay at home mom was the best decision I made. I love all the friends I have made and having the privliage to see all there fun, crafty, mommy ways. So I want to just pay it forward and post some of my fun projects. It's time to get crafty!!

Wam winter snacks
I have a love for fruit all year round and with winter comes the need for warm food and a fire. So what can fruit make? Old bananas can we say nummy banana bread....how about old apples, love, love, love homemade apple sauce and served warm...mouth watering! Who does not like the sound of those??! Having some old apples and bananas on my counter, and let me tell you they did not look good to just eat, but very good potential for some warm nummy-ness!

Thank you! Hope all your Holiday Cooking is wonderful!!

One more Halloween Project!
So I know that October is over but i am all about good deals and wanted to wait until the sales hit. I really liked these blocks i spotted on pinterest and decided to make them for next year. I had everything i needed except the paper. So when the Halloween paper was really cheap I bought it.
This project was fun and easy! All the supplies needed is scrap wood from 5 to 9 inches high, black craft paint, a paint brush, Halloween paper, letters, stickers, glitter, and mod podge. (I used my cricut to cut the letters out but if you don't have one vinyl letters will work at the craft store or they also have DIY cutters.) It also took a couple of days between drying and my busy 1 in a half year old :)
| My Sweet Ellie was very happy for me... "Good job" She said as she was clapping! |

Baby crochet hat!
I love to crochet! It is very relaxing and you can make some really cute things in no time at all. A friend of mine (Nichole) taught me the basics one day, thank you, and now I am hooked! I found this hat tutorial online when i was expecting my little one and decided to make it. I loved it and she looked so cute in it. She is year and a half old now and she still runs around wearing it...Well its more like a game, mommy puts it on her then she pulls it off, laughs and then hands it back for me to put back on her. But when she does finally keep it on, it really looks so cute.
Now I have a friend Holley that just had a baby girl recently and she had seen another hat that i made Ellie and asked if I could make her one so i did and loved how it turned out. I can't wait to get it to her and see pics of her little one in it!
Thank you and hope this has inspired you to make some fun winter hats!!

Dress-up!
One of a million things i love about having a girl is playing dress up! I love to put Ellie in skirts, dresses, and fun tutus. I can't wait to start her in ballet and gymnastic classes! Okay back to the topic.
I have seen so many cute tutus and wanted to try making one. This theme is a ladybug and thought she could use it for Halloween........but i have an awesome friend, Venessa, that gave me a really cute ladybug costume and am going to use that since it has a limit on size, and its adorable. So i decided to still finish it........after i did i then decided i am going to make lots more in fun colors for her to play with. She loves this one already.......and so do I.
So there is my first attempt on a costume and fun dress up for Ellie! I have to say i am very excited to share this with all my friends :)

Baby Belly Scrapbook
Here it is....my first pregnancy photo book. I love everything about photos and decorating, so why not put them together! I love to scrapbook and it seems I spend a lot of my time in the winter months doing it. Especially when my husband is off on his hunting trips. There is just something about good old movies, a fire, a glass of wine, and looking through pictures for some good memories.
I wanted to use a small basic book because I didn't want to spend a ton of time on it. Since its just a big baby belly :) So the pages only held a few pictures at a time...perfect for what I wanted.

I love my wonderful husband for taking all my pictures!
Now these are envelops that i made for the baby showers that I had. There were just a lot of pics and it was a good memory that i know i will love to look back on but didn't want to scrapbook them.
OK that is it, a wonderful memory captured :)

Little fingers fun breakfast
I am always trying to find new ways to feed my busy 15 month old little girl in quick, fun, and absolutely Delicious ways. I saw an article about french toast sticks...that sounded good for even me. I decided to try it but added a little twist to them. Let me tell you Ellie just loved them!
One thing I didn't want to have on the plate was syrup. This may sound silly but for a 15 month old who always puts her hands in her hair and all over her face...all i could see was a big mess. The point was easy and fun. So i just added a little brown sugar to the mix. I also wanted it to be healthy. I use whole wheat bread already and had some extra zucchini left from my garden so I added some zucchini to the mix too...you can't even tell its there. Another plus was you could double up or even triple and freeze them. When you are in a crunch pull it out of the freezer and toast them. One thing i didn't really do was measure my ingredients so i will be guessing a little...then you mix it all up in a flat dish soak bread on both sides and pan fry them.
Recipe
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
shake of Cinnamon
splash of vanilla
1 teaspoon of brown sugar
1/2 zucchini finely shredded
Thank you,
Janae

Fall pumpkin project
This pumpkin is fun and cute! I learned it from my MOPS group this year. I was not able to do the project in the meeting...had a little girl that distracted me :) So I was able to take it home and I did it today. I really like it because it's simple and made out of cheap things. Its just burlap, tissue paper, a paper towel roll, fake leaves, a stick, and some green wire. I like them how they are or you can spray paint them orange...I might do that! I am loving this fall and can't wait to make some more fun projects.
